New Years and trip to Idaho

Here is proof of my statement that Deklyn was always scratching his face and still does!

Deklyn started smiling at about 6 weeks of age, and hasn't stopped since :)

He also has a wonderful pout face too :)

For new years we had John's brother and his family over for a feast of foods :)
Then we packed up our bags and went to Idaho to see my family :) it was fun as usual :)

We did our family gift exchange while we were all together... minus Jason and Devin :( sadly they couldn't make it but we did Facetime with them so they could be there.  (just not physically)

We saw movies while we were there and went bowling.  Mady enjoys bowling :)

Then we made the long drive home.  I'd say we pooped her out :)

While we were there brother turned 2 months.  He is growing so fast!

I can't believe it has been like 8 months since I have updated the blog.  I'll try and catch up starting with Christmas.  Christmas in July right? :)
With john being gone a lot and having a newborn i kinda just lived each day trying to get to when he would be home again.  I have had a lot of migraines lately from lack of sleep and such.
Deklyn started off sleeping pretty darn good when he was little with sometime only waking up once a night! great for a newborn.  Then his Reid genes kicked in and since then he hasn't slept so well.  By Reid genes I mean allergies :)  poor thing almost always has a runny nose and cough at night.  Which means he is up a lot at night and sometime i'm so tired i just let him sleep in his swing all night with it going.  I'm suprised it hasn't died on me yet haha and i would be quite sad if it did.
Anyways on to Christmas.  I guess I kind of forgot about thanksgiving.  I was still really sore for it was only like 2 weeks after I had Deklyn and I forgot to take pictures.  But we just stayed home with my parents and had the yummy usual thanksgiving dinner.  I'm so glad my mom and dad were there or I don't think we would have had thanksgiving :)

I can't believe he used to be so small :)  He was almost three weeks old here

After my mom left Jill came and stayed about a week with us.  Mady loved having someone to play with.  It was about the beginning of December so we started the Christmas celebrating :)

Then John and I went out and bought our very first Christmas tree! It was so little and cute.  Also Extremely expensive! like crazy expensive but that's alright it was still really fun and smelled pretty yummy :)

4 Weeks old

Mady still loves her little brother so much.  Sometimes a little too much haha :)

I have many and many more picture of Deklyn looking like a cute baby, being held like a cute baby, and sleeping like a cute baby but I don't need to show all those to you :)

 He Loved to be wrapped with his hands by his face.  Just like his sister he has bad eczema so we have to cut his fingernails almost every other day.  He always had scratches on his face and his ankles and stuff so sad :(

Christmas eve started with some fun grahm cracker houses :) it's a tradition :)

 Then our friends the Beck's came over and did some fun things with us for Christmas eve.  Tyden is only about 12 hours or so younger than Deklyn.  so fun :)

Mady got some squinkies, a tent and little princess castle.  Brother got the boy version of elli.  Mady has a pink one and he has a blue one.  They both love them and sleep with them everynight :)
