Homemade soft pretzels and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies

My plans got canceled today so I decided to do some baking :) here is the link to the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies :)

And here is my recipe for homemade pretzels :)

10.5 oz water
.33 oz yeast
16 oz all purpose flour or 12oz bread flour and 4 oz pastry flour
.1oz salt
.3oz sugar

soak the yeast in the water and then add to the flour and mix it all together. Make five ounce balls and roll into a string and make into a pretzel shape. Dip into baking soda and water. and cook at 500 degrees for 8-9 minutes or until brown. Cover in butter and salt and enjoy :)

Pizza rolls

So that is what i tried for the first time. you stuff the pizza toppings minus the sauce in Pillsbury pizza crust and top it with garlic salt butter and Italian seasonings. Bake it at four hundred for like 15 minutes and then dip it in warm marinara sauce. It was the best recipe but i think it would be better if you made your own pizza dough. It would be a fun recipe for a date or to do with kids. coming up next for recipes are: creamy mac and cheese, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, soft pretzels and spider web sugar cookies.... prepare yourself!!! :)

A new way :)

so after looking at a lot of great recipies on blogs i have decided that i'm going to make a lot of them. We spend a lot of money on food anyway why don't i make it more fun and interesting. The question i have is when i post them do you want me to just do the picture or do you want the recipe as well? well i will probably be putting up my first one soon let me know :) should be fun :)

I actually don't mind i don't have all that much to do Mady is still sleeping thanks to the wonderful winter early morning darkness :) so i was tagged to answer eight questions so here we go :)
1-what is your recent favorite commercial right now?
This one is way to easy and I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me on this one... its the Geico this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home! seriously just an awesome commercial :)
2-what do you and your husband argue most often about?
Usually its either me wanting him to do something like talk more, clean up after himself, or money issues and not wanting to eat out and get fat and poor. But more often than not it is usually on movie characters, whose voice is which character, what other movies they played in.... that kind of thing :)
3-if i was the lunch lady at school what would i make for lunch to gross them out?
This one is a little more difficult and as i recall Stacie a lot of people loved that Pb&j pizza :) I don't know I'd make liver and onions i guess cause that is what they always say is so gross in all the movies. I've never had it and i will never have it either :)
4-which clique would you say you belonged to in high school?
i don't know which clique i was in... i wasn't in the popular group the weirdos or losers but i wasn't in the goody Mormon group either.... if anybody would like to tell me which group i was in i would much appreciate it :) upon asking this question i now feel so lost and confused hahaha :)
5-post the seventh picture down in your first file of pictures what is it?



This picture is outside of Jackson hole at the top of the hill. john and i went here quite a few times before we got married. that's about it.
6-what is your worst experience as an employee?
Working at sonic i had this white trash couple chew me out for not having a certain meal anymore which obviously i had NO control over. They were both yelling and swearing at me and i just said there was nothing i could do that is corporate and i just bring the food. The other people eating called the cops on these people because they were being so incredibly mean to me. I went back in to sonic and did the one thing i absolutely hate doing in front of people...i burst into tears.... worst experience ever.
7-what item can you never walk by in the grocery store without seriously thinking of getting?
ummmmm everything! and i usually end up getting it. any of you who have been to our apartment know we have everything available to snack on at our place. If you are hungry come here that's what we are known for ahaha.... oreo's are up there lately though :)
8-the most awkward thing that has happened to me in the last week?
when Jason and I were driving to and from St George i wanted to sit up front with Jason but Mady demanded my attention so i had to crawl into the back by going in between the seats. It was hard to do and i was practically sticking my butt in his face and everyone Else's driving by. It wasn't so bad to do when i was skinny but for a fat person it is a little more difficult :) and embarrassing.

1- watch show do you secretly love to watch but wouldn't want anyone to know? :)
2- Which of the five senses would you get rid of if you had to choose one?
3-get into the third folder and go to the tenth picture and post it and tell us the story behind it. if you don't have ten pictures in that folder go to the next and count to the number you had left from counting the last one... does that make sense?

Feeding the ducks and St George.

So the last little while our lives have been about the same. John working and looking for new jobs and tiny and i at home learning and growing each new day :) but we just got home from going to st george. It was a blast. 100 degree weather and lots of swimming and boating. We were only there for about two days which made the seven hour long drive there and back long but it was worth it :) here are some pictures in so particular order. John, mady and i feeding the ducks. Our halloween decorations, mady sitting in her new green chair she loves to climb onto and of course our st george trip. Enjoy :)

AHHHH A FLY!!!!

we were eating dinner last night and Mady sitting in her high chair was following a fly fly around the room. it landed in front of her and as she continued to watch it, it started walking towards her she flung herself away from it screaming. It had scared her so bad her eyes were huge. I swatted it away and told her it was OK she looked up with her lip pouting out and looked for it again. She then looked at me and cried so i picked her up. Hahaha it was so funny. She will let a dog maul her but if a fly even comes near she flips out :) just like her mommy, hates bugs. Haha you may not think it is too funny but we thought it was hilarious. It is moments like that that you thank heavenly father for blessing you so much as to be a parent. John has had some more interviews and we are still waiting to hear back. Our neighbor is pretty high up at direct TV and told john to apply and pulled his application there. I hope he gets that job so badly! they pay for your phone,free direct TV and Internet, give you a truck, good benefits, and some of the guys make anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 a week!! that is 4 times the amount he makes now!!! it would be such a blessing if he gets that job. so pray for us... :)I did something bad yesterday. I wanted Mady's bangs cut so she didn't eat her hair all the time but i did it myself.... thanks to john.... oh you can do it coya it looks awesome! YEAH RIGHT!!! Mady now looks like she has a mullet but she is still cute... poor girl :) here are some pics... mady taking a bath, she gets into everything now even the cupboards...she is trying to walk more and is doing pretty well :) us at the fair,mady in her new swimsuit and mady in the hair cutting chair! :)
